What's the deal with CivNet?

I'ts a separate game, correct, not a patch?
Is there anywhere I can legally download it, or do I have to get off my lazy a$$ and buy it somewhere?

Yes, it is a separate game that adds multiplayer capabilities and a few extra features(nothing gameplay wise).

Nope, it's not legally downloadable, you have to buy it.
Try Ebay or a used games store.

Finally a newbie who isn't asking for a free download.

Well I like the new graphics in Civnet they are a little bit brushed up. Besides that it's still the same Civ can't find any other difference ah yes and the multiplayer-mode.

Yeah, it's funny to see three threads in a row with titles like "Where can I download Civ1 for free", "Can I download civ1 for free anywhere on the net?", and "Can I get Civ1 for free"
They don't seem to notice that all the threads with similar titles are all closed, and usually have only 1 post, from a mod...
