What's with the wolf?

well, if you're continent is totally roaded'railroaded, your cities aren't gonna be filled with wolfs
 
First of all, that sounds more like a Coyote than a wolf to me. Second, I live in the modern age and I hear Coyotes every night. One got my neighbor's cat(coyotes like cats!) a few nights ago. I may live in the sticks, but we're still modern dag gum it!
 
Spanish conquistador? Why does he have a German Shepherd? The breed didn't exist until around 1905 and didn't get the black saddle and muzzle exclusively until the 1930s. And the ears back and head position shows fear. Obviously not of good temperament. I'm just nitpicking, but shouldn't that go with the German infantry?

Actually, the German shepherd has been around since Roman times. The Roman army used these dogs as attack dogs.
