Ok, this is getting picky. But why do you always get sound effects like the lone wolf cries and bird chirps etc.? Even when you're looking at a built-up civ with millions of people from the equivalent of a low-flying plane altitude? You probably shouldn't hear anything, but if you did it should be city-bustle type noises. I laugh in the late game when I'm moving these high-tech units between huge cities and I'm hearing this "aroooo" wolf howl deal.

Told you it was picky. But at least it's not the "too much corruption/war weariness" thing again. Even though I do think there's too much corruption and war weariness. ;)

wolf? Wolf? WOLF?
Iv'e never noticed any wolfs? when were, BIRDS!
were can I hear this wolf!.......... hmmm a wolf unit :enlighten mabey they could be barbarians ;)
but really I must not be paying much attention to the sound effects

I think that the wolf and the birds were supposed to give an ambience to the game during the Ancient Age. Both were successful, but I also think it is strange to hear them when you are in the Modern Age with cities surrounded by polluted squares...

Hey, speak for yourself! :)

I love the wolf and birds. My four year-old son loves hearing the units' victory cries. I wouldn't mind having a sound track.

Those lone wolf cries are from Vikings special unit. :D

yup, you're right. It's a Conquistador. :) I was thinking about dog sled in Alaska, and Vikings happened to live in cold places. :D

so i like the wolf but it would be fun if you find a "wolf unit" and if you find the sound irritating kill the wolf.(but i would never kill it;) )

aha... maybe its a futuristic clone wolf, spawned from the evil caves of the enemy to haunt your modern armor and inspire fear in your labourers eyes. maybe not.

Each time i play this game at 3:00AM my dog start barking when it ear wooooooo

Every tim I play the game my cat lays on my keyboard :)

"humans taste like......CHICKEN"

You play Tribes 2 aswell? :)

I guess the howling sounds you hear in modern ages are probably the dogs living in your cities. My dog always howls when he hears a police siren, and with crime the way it is in the big cities.....

Maybe the ambience adding sound effects could change throughout the ages. In the modern age you could hear police sirens, random gunfire, and traffic noises.

Spanish conquistador? Why does he have a German Shepherd? The breed didn't exist until around 1905 and didn't get the black saddle and muzzle exclusively until the 1930s. And the ears back and head position shows fear. Obviously not of good temperament. I'm just nitpicking, but shouldn't that go with the German infantry?
