Whats your most hated song?

Whilst a lot of pop is very bad, there is some good stuff out there, and we at the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm acknowledge this. :yeah:

See my thread a few months back about worst songs ever. I posted most of my most despised songs there.
Having My Baby
McArthur Park
most Disco
The Pina Colada Song
More later.... 70's and 80's pop had a ton of very bad, repusive songs

McArthur Park is a great song! Particularly when Richard Harris suddenly changes gender towards the end. :yeah:

McArthur park what is this i have never heard of this.
Is it american pop?
Damnit no more we cant cope with all your crappy american boy bands and pop princesses leave us alone just give us your rock :D we have too many boy bands thanks to bloody ireland.

"Everything I Do (I do it for you)" By Bryan Adams. I know that Canada has on many occasions apologised for Bryan Adams but one more couldn't hurt.

wham - wake me up before you go-go :vomit:

McArthur Park is often sited as the Worst Song Ever Recorded, for two reasons:
it was popular
It was Bad

Filled with crumby metaphores and melancholy messages of lost love. Some think it was brilliant, many despise it.

For example:
Someone left the Cake out in the rain
and I dont think I can take it
Cus it took so long to make it
and we'll never have that memory again
Agaiiiinnnnn(cue Simon here)

And before you go ranting on America's boy bands, who are indeed crap, take a look at some of the feminine british bands of the 80s /90s. Spice girls, Bananarama, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Pet Shop boys, Spandau Ballet,

Bah! You just can't understand the symbolism of the cake, and the nonsense lyrics representing the empty view of the world after the end of love. The fact that Harris is not a smooth crooner adds to its brilliance, in the same way that Joe Cocker's breaking voice is rather effective in "You Are So Beautiful".

No one yet has mentioned "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins", as sung by William Shatner, which would take the cake if it hadn't been left out in the rain, and I don't think that I can take it, 'cause it took so long to bake it, and I'll never have that recipe agaaiiinnnn. :D

The best deliberately bad song of all time is that marvellous parody by Lufthansa Terminal - Nice Video, Shame about the Song :ack: :D

"Hey Mickey!" by Toni Basil was dire...

But she was gorgeous in the video...:D

Well,
I will agree that there are countless terrible rap and country songs, BUT
Some of the early rap was powerful and empowering(Public Enemy, IceT, etc) And Country, when it was called Country and Western(1950's-1970's) has produced some of the finest ballads I have ever heard. The world should be thanking us for Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Sr. not to mention Chet Atkins, Marty Robbins, Merel Haggard, and those "Outlaws ";)

Good Rap= M.C Hammer :D

there always some good songs from each genre of music apart from pop. POP sucks it is manufactured sh*t used to brain wash little kids and for parents to watse money on a sh*tty cd which has one song mixed three times.

In conclusion pop is bad very bad damned bad.

Macarena, Ketchup Song, Die Another Day(When you yhink it is a Bond song)

My wife listens to a lot of Faith Hill. There is this one song, where she compares herself to a "sad armadillo wandering the desert alone" that is just the stupidest damn song I've ever heard in my life.

Worst......song.......EVER!

That and mmmmmbop. Freakin girlyboys.

"To Be With You" -- Mr. Big (I think that was the name of the band)

Along the "guy kissing the girl's ass to 'win' her over" theme. Made me wanna puke.... :vomit:

Pick up any K-Tel album from the 70's and you will hear 12 of the worst songs you ever heard.

Beach Baby, Beach Baby give me your hand, from july til the end of september....

Run Joey, Run Joey, Run Joey, Run Joey,....Daddy Please dont, It wasnt his fault. He means so much to me. Daddy please dont, were gonna get married, just you wait and see......

S-A-TUR-DAY Night!!!!...

In the Desert, You can remember your name for there aint no one for to give you no pain so Naaa Naaa Na na na na na....

Cue the belching smiley here...

you made me curious, so i downloaded mcarthur park.

i begun to turn my body after three minutes, was breathing deeply and heavy after five minutes and throwed away the headphones with half a minute left of the song.
