Where are the Canadians?
Where are the Cubans?
Where are the Iraqis?
Where are the Welsh? (somewhre near liverpool!)
Where are the Austrians?
Where are the Micronesians?
Well good news is, the proud Turkish civilisation can be
added via the editor, that is how I plan to add
Macbeth:king: leading the Scottish Hordes!!! FREE-DOOM! OOOK!

The Iraqis? Dude, the Babylonians ARE the Iraqis. Baghdad=Ancient Babylonian city. Also Persia=Iran. But if there is and expansion, I would definitely include the Turks and Vikings. They are two very intersteing and dynamic cultures that influenced a lot over the centuries, ESPECIALLY the Vikings.

Where are the Carthaginians and Mongols??

The civilization of Atlantis would be interesting...

You might think I am crazy but its possible. Atlantis is really believed to be connected with the city of Troy.

There's a thick line between fact and fiction, but if there was room for more civilizations, I would add Atlantis. In my opinion, the Spanish are the most important civilization missing from the game.

Atlantis (or Troy, it don't really matter) had a good navy. They had armies of spear-like warriors. I don't know enough to say if it could be qualified for their unique unit or not, but I wouldn't doubt it. For their advances, I think Culture and probally religion would be the most important for them.

I think it is possible, but it would require research. It would be interesting to see them in a mod pack. I might work on it myself, once I learn a bit more about the game. Im new to Civilization games, and I just got it yesterday, so I got some learning to do.

Does anyone else think this would be a valid suggestion?

As for the Arabs...

I was skeptical at first, especially with what has recently happened on September 11th. There are many people that think all Arabs are responsible, which they arent.

After I saw this quote, I began to rethink:

The Arabs were a great civ too, they made algebra and the concept of zero, and MANY other things that europeans improved upon. they also translated a huge bulk of ancient greek works.

Just that alone is enough to get them into the game.

There are many great civilizations that are not in the game because they couldn't be added. It would be interesting to see mod packs with many of the civilizations mentioned throughout the posts, such as the Spanish, Vikings, and Byzantines. (My top three preferences.)

I think that it whould be a great idea to put the atlanteans into the game but first if they are historicaly approved because the civilization game is only put realistic tribes and not mythic. I dont know where exactly you find the connection of Triyans with Atladeans i dont think that is excist any connection between them and Plato the person who inform us about Atladis is not say anythink about troyans.
I agree that the Arabs where a great civilization and they must put them in tha game they give really a lot to civilization.
Finally why we put the Byzantines? I dont think that is fear to put Greeks two times in the game just because the first was their ancient history and then medieval.

True about the Atlantis, Plato doesn't imply or state any connection between the city state of Troy and Atlantis. The only connection is that both city states had the favour of Poseidon, god of the sea (and they were attacked by greek armies, of course).
