Where can I find a copy of Civ I?

I'm sorry, Brad, I'm afraid I can't do that.

In most cases, abandonware is hard to define. In this case it's not. The game is still sold as part of chronicles so it is definitley NOT abandonware.

Which for the OP, is how to get the game new. Buy the Civ Chronicles boxset. Otherwise you can look for pre-owned ones on ebay or amazon. However it may have difficulty running on newer computers.

Should be able to run them without any difficulty. We all do here. I play Civ DOS in Windows XP without any special software. Some of the others use dosbox.

Just make sure you pick up the Windows or DOS version. (Not the Amiga or NES version... because even with an emulator the disk/cartridge wouldn't be compatible.)

When I did that it ran turtle slow but when I run it with DosBox it runs OK (just in a tiny window).
