Where is Samarkand on the game???

Since Civ3 Samarkand was 'deleted' from the Mongols city list. Why? Someone???

If not a Mongolian city, in what civ should be in?

Wasn't Samarkand captured by the mongols somewhere around 1200 under leadership of Genghis Khan? I think it wasn't one of their 'own' cities. It was originally from the state of Khwarezm (sp?). Maybe that's the reason, otherwise maybe some guys in the history forum might know.

Samarkand was a Mongol city. The Timurid Empire was a Mongol Empire. And Samarkand was it's capital.
