I need this folder for the kfm file and fx nif file. I cannot find it the one I found in civ 4 had two files neither was a kfm file. I am trying to add a three decker ship of the line to my mod. thanks for any help. Can anyone break down what .nif, fx.nif, and kfm actually do so its easier for me to be able to use them properly to get units to look right.

just about all the original art is packed up in the .pak files... search pakBuild on the forums and you'll find a program that will let you unpack those files.
No, those files use the .fpk extension not .pak. They're named Assets0.fpk, Assets1.fpk etc.
