Hi everyone,

I got back to civ 6 after NFP announcement. I was happy to discover / re-discover the game (didn't play since R&F). I manage to get a domination win with Alexandre on online / immortal / continent setup and decided to try Eleanor (England)

I wasn't happy with a lot of starts and ended with this one. I settled in place.

Any tips to where to settle next? I really want to go coastal, but is it worth to do it now?

I already tried some variation on this map however never convinced they were good choices. So I've decided to ask here if I could get any insight.

Thank you!

You have lots of good options. I say you should focus on river or lake before coastal but killing two birds with one stone is okay too.

My advice? Continue exploring while you build your Settler. Find out where other civs are, and settle as close to them as you can without pissing them off, losing city loyalty, or settling a bad location.

Thank you for your advice. The settler is already there. I will try settling to the right near the lake. There is a civ near the barb camp, we can see the dot lines.

I need dock yard though so maybe b3 and b4 should be on the see, even if there isn't a lot of sea ressources

North I have a great +5 campus but without a great dockyard. Don't know if it's worth.

I'd settle right where that Barbarian Scout is. It's got good growth. It'll expand to good production. It'll keep everyone from the north from getting to your land mass. And, it gives you easy passage between oceans.
