Where will Civ4 be release?

I live in the uk, and i'm concerned about something; i know civ4 will be released in the us first, but will it be released over here at the same time? and if not, when? plz, anybody who has any information mabout this, post it here.

i think it's gonna be canada after us because of the proximity. us games always come to canada first. but after that i think it'll go to the uk. maybe in a month or two, depending on how the firaxis people think of the UK market.

Usually games are released a few days earlier in the US (like Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday) because in the UK you have to release games on a Friday (for some reason). If you haven't noticed, all major titles are released on a Friday out here. But if it's a longer delay, then i don't imagine it'll be much more than 2 weeks longer - if that.

I am also awaiting the Civ IV release date for the UK - does anyone know if the collectors edition for pre ordering shown on this site would be compatible in the UK? Civ has always offered good extra's such as printed manuals and tech trees - i do hope that edition will be available or compatible for UK use!!!

its not suitable for UK or US use, but for windows use. so... there shouldnt be any differences for you.

I'm just wondering about the pre-order version, could you order it online and get it shipped over to Britain from the states? Cos that that pre-order version is sweet, and I think it'd be a bit unfair if only the US and Canada could get it.

Release dates have been close together. Civ 3 was 30th October back in 01. For EU it was 4 days later.

I'm hoping for one worldwide release.
