Where's the ban?!

Just a question on Choke's behalf. He (and I am also curious) wonders who banned him from this site and why.

if he's banned he has received a pm with notification and clarification. I'm sure he's had warning as well, and besides that there are more diplomatic ways then "Well?" to ask, and third: you should've pm'ed a staff member I think.

He said to me that he had tried that but it appeared that nobody had banned him. Maybe this can solve the matter.

What's so undiplomatical about 'Well?'? I managed to steer clear of profanities for once.

There is no logged ban of the poster "Choke", nor have I heard of him/her.

At any rate, PMs work for banned posters, that poster could simply send a message to Thunderfall or any other forum moderator.

These types of threads are fine with me. People want to know why their rights have been take away. In many cases it may have been misunderstandings and if this is the way to clear up those misunderstandings well wouldn't that be nice. If the police comes over and drag you into prison wouldn't you want to know what they did that for?

sorry for that, it sounded a bit like, "what stupid reason you *******s gonna come up with now", but that's just my (mis)interpetation. I guess he's having log in problems or something then?

Choke is unbanned now. I have no idea why he was on the ban list...

His name is not similar to anyone else who was reported banned, thus it does not seem to be a search for user and click the one one mistake.

Once I was playing a game of chess against someone who got banned so I did PM AoA at the time about it as I wondered where he had disappeared to...and why...

Can't you just look at the automatic admin log and see who changed the status of his account, or doesn't your software have that feature

As yet is is undertermined how, much less why, you were banned.

Again... don't you have an automatic Admin log that shows any changes to members and by whom? Vbulletin has that feature built in. At least I know one forum that has that feature

Choke was added to the Banned by Moderator list, so one of the mods did that, not an admin. The admin log only shows actions by admins....

Interesting... There should also be an automatic mod log as well So are you saying that you have proof that "one" of the mods did indeed ban him, or are you only assuming that since it doesn't show in your admin logs
