Which civ needs a new leader

Wu Zetian of Tang / Later Zhou
Liu Bang of Han
Li Shimin of Tang

I doubt that there'd be a third leader for the Chinese civ, though. Most likely, they'll just give another leader to another European or Mesopotamian civ.

Wen Ti of the Sui Dynasty would be fine, too, as well as T'ai Tsung of the Tang. The first reunited China in the 6th Century and the other may have been the greatest of all Chinese emperors. Wu would be the best choice for a female leader.

the only other real possible choice for female leader would be Cixi, and then she would be like your stereotypical cunning Chinese woman... but she is attributed to worsening the decline of the Qing dynasty, so...

There's also the Dowager Empress Lü (Liu Bang's widow) who dominated China from 195 - 180 BC. She was also very influential during her husband's reign.

yea, but no ones heard of her. actually, there are a ton of Empresses we can pick from, stereotypically Chinese cunning Empresses... to many to choose... imagine all the male leaders we have to find...

Lü was actually running the country, though. She's not a serious suggestion for a Chinese leader, though, since she's generally regarded negatively. Empress Wu actually ruled in her own name for 15 years, and was the dominant figure in Chinese politics for 40 years.

earlier on this thread i posted a list of excellent or not-so-excellent (but still good choice) Chinese leaders to choose from. this is just the tip of the iceberg, no kidding. look at all the freaking choices we already have!

Firaxis has a whole long list to choose from... they better pick one for the Chinese...

now thats just... well, well, well... China had many capable leaders. Empress Wu, maybe was not that great, but she certainly is a candidate if they want a female leader. at least CHina didn't fall to pieces during her reign. :)

other qualified leaders for China's third leader (if they do put one in):

- Xuanzong - sudenly forgot who the guy was... he was creative in some way
- Taizong (Tang dynasty): Arguably most capable Tang Emperor, set forth much domestic and foreign policy stuff
- Taizong (Song dynasty): Very humane ruler
- Yongle - Ming dynasty ruler whos international-exploring expeditions *almost* made China the world power if he hadn't been such a wimp around his ministers
- Kangxi - Qing Emperor;humane, expanded empire, very smart and very strong :D
- Qianlong - Qing Emperor, grandson of Kangxi; similar to grandfather, but kinda overly-conservative at end of reign
- Wudi - Han Emperor, expanded Han Empire to greatest extent
- Zhuge Liang - not leader per se, but Prime Minister of the Shu Kingdom during the THreâ Kingdoms, arguably the or one of the most bestest generals in Chinese history and all history for that matter

there. tons of qualified leaders. not just "dynasties and stuff" :)
China should have a third leader. but i can see why if they put in more leaders for Spain and Japan.

okay... you know, i got a few more leaders in my head right now:

- wendi (or something like that) - founder of the Sui dynasty; somewhat like Qin Shi Huang in attitude, began building Great Canal
-Cixi - not that much of a great leader, lead China to its ultimate doom (sorta) during the Qing Dynasty by being a hardcore conservation; but, not only cunning and evil, but also a woman!!!
- Liu Bang (gaozu) - founder of Han dynasty
- forgot the guy's name, but the founder of the 2nd half of the Han dynasty
- Hu Jintao - leader of China against the Bush Administration
