I play on a PC, the only thing I don't like about macs are that their mice only have one button (not sure about newer ones though).

Actually, the 1-button mouse is standard w/ new systems. Many, includiing myself, purchase a 2-button mouse.

Btw, I use a Mac (Civ3) and a PC (C3C).

Somebody has to stick up for the Mac here, I guess. Count me in!

I've always been a Mac fan, but also a Unix fan, so OS X is geek nirvana for me. I have to use Windows at work (alongside Sun workstations), and everything just seems to be in the wrong place. (I'm one of the dorks who will take the Windows taskbar and move it to the top of the screen, so the Start menu is in the "right" place!)

I started this thread to see if mac user are really only three percent of the computer market. I wonder if that is the same for the game market.

It's nice to have the right-click right on my mouse, and I have enough self-control to not "accidentally press" it (I've never done that or heard of it before). Besides, most of the time a right-click only brings up a menu, not does anything, so its' very easy to reverse.

About 3% of the computer market is Mac, IIRC--with Windows at about 90-95% and the other 2-7% split of majority Linux and then other much more minor OSes. I'd imagine, due to the low number of games out for the Mac, that it probably only composes AT MOST 2% of the gaming market, probably <1% in fact.

Oh, BTW, I play C3C on Windows ME ( but it's not worth $x to upgrade to XP)

Windows for me, but if Civ III for Mac was completely equal to Civ III for Windows (in terms of patches, editor, expansion packs...), I wouldn't have thought twice about getting it for Mac instead.
