Which is the best civ to play with?!?

My favourite Civ currently is the Roman. Which is Yours? And Why?

Is it the special unit?
The type of civ (Commercial, militaristic)?
Your own country?
The best to achieve your favourite victory type?
Or the best to Win at all?

I did play as persians - they're great - best in ancient era if you like attacking. But i do enjoy a game as the zulu every now and then, but normally i just go random.

I choose my own CIV (depending on how blood is today: normal or... ). Enemies are random: they will be dead anyway, so... is doesn't matter!

Persia, their immortals are the best there is, and if you gain a good edge by the end of the ancient age you wont lose it.

I alwayz play with Persia. They have good qualities( Industrious & Scientific) and their Immortals are a major plus during the Ancient Times.

Plus the Chinese are great attackers to start off with in the middle ages. With Riders, you can launche swift attacks and they too also have good qualities.

England is my favorite
I don't care for the MoW, or the expansionist, but i love the commercial attridute.
I am american, my family came from Olney, Buckinghamshire, England 300+ years ago, but I can't help but admire the English accomplishments between 1500 and 2000.
Kill the French, thats all that matters. If they are dead, anyone that crosses me. I don't really play to win, I play to kill Frenchies. Never have I played a game without the ultimate goal of conuering france. I also prefer an alliance with Russia, America, Rome and Germany.

I perfer civs with religious or industrious or both.

The Chinese are a great side and one of the best for fun however you have to play as Mao.....

Persia is very cool and the Egyptians are perhaps one of the most powerful(except the unique units is only fairly good).

The Romans are my fav. You can use legions for a long time, and its a great excuse to start a war to get iron for them, which happens to me way to often.

The Chinese are masters of the archer rush. I do not like Mao, though. It's worse than playing as Hitler or Stalin.

I like more and more early wars. The more I play, the more I like them.
So, Romans and Chinese are great!!!
(Zulus and Aztecs don't fit in my way of playing, and the Babilonian and the Egiptian UU are quite bad when it comes to battle!!!)

China owns Rome in the early game. Making mines at twice the normal speed gives them a huge production advantage, and their militaristic trait gives them better promotions.

Romans are militaristic too.
And I prefer commercial (low corruption!) to industrious...

Besides, the Unique Unit come earlier...

Um, the industrious aspect allows them to make mines very quickly very early. This is the force behind the archer rush, not the militaristic part!

the corruption isnt lowered that much, just two or three shields in general. but still, every shield counts.

I like the Americans on a large/huge map. Fast workers give me a superior roadnet, plus the expansionist trait gets me out of the first era before the Immortals/Legions/MWs can be built in large numbers.

I prefer either the egytians, because they are industrious and religious, or the iroquois, who can use an early golden age to make mass mounted warriors which can mean mass knights, mass cavalry, and mass conquest.
