i like industrial age, personally i find that history fascinating, it's also exciting to play in the game, i like building railroads, factories, hospitals and stock changes, and watch my cities become big and lots of happy faces :)

I always enjoy the Ancient age the most. it is exciting to see what Civ has provided for your gaming pleasure. It is most certainly not dull

AA. I love exploring virgin territory. ;)

Same here. Industrial age is usually when my dominance really starts to show. Some of the most critical techs are in this age - Steam Power, Replaceable Parts, Motorized Transportation are all critical techs.

I'm not sold on stock exchanges, although I usually build them just for the heck of it. If you use CxxC spacing you won't need hospitals.

In Civ2 I love the modern world with terraforming etc. In CivIII the industrial age and early modern when the diplomatic puzzle with the pacts (and ressources) is going to be played out.

I also like the exploration in AA but the decision were to put the cities and the race to get the wonders stresses me out every time.

I like industrial age. Draft riflemen and send them to war! Almost all the major technologies are in the industrial age.

Love AA for the "brand new world" and Industrial for rails and the host of wonders and units that beckon to your call.

Ancient Age. It's the most exciting and addicting because I feel like the game is really decided then. I'm playing a game now in which we are all in the midst of the medieval times, and already I feel like it's pretty inevitable that I will win. I am in the lead in techs, have the resources, a big territory, etc. It's starting to feel a little bit like I'm playing SimCity or something... not really a challenge anymore.

late Medieval era, Gunpowder is coming into effect but don't dominate the battlefield just yet.

Hard to pick a favorite... Like the others, I enjoy exploring in the ancient age. Getting those roads and initial cities down. The Medieval age features fun wonders and wars; I've had enough time to build up my forces and can kick some butt. All those workers end up loafing for the second half of medieval -- and then come the railroads in the Industrial. Go riflemen! Go Infantry! Tanks, tanks, tanks!

By the time I get to Modern, I just want to be done. Spaceship parts seem to take forever to build. I might enjoy it more if I were playing on a harder difficulty, where I'm actually racing an AI to build my spaceship. I guess my favorite is Industrial, when I have a tech lead.
