I can't find a definition of G3 that applies in this context. Confused? Help? :crazyeye:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heckler_&_Koch_G3

Nope. They're a couple of IRA members. Specifically, members of the Cumann na mBan, the women's branch of the IRA.

Rough girls. Don't make one angry. ;)

Rough is good :goodjob:

I wouldn't even try to spell Cumana Ban or whatever but I wouldn't mind saying I support their cause

Damn, I'm starting to be more and more like Andy from the show Weeds

Thanks, I will steer clear of any woman weilding an assault rifle!!

My comment was made in jest as Boondock Saints 3 doesn't exist...yet.

Thanks for the clarification.

It's probably not a good idea to wander around the UK holding up a sign that says that...

While there is a certain charm in the whole thing, that's probably a good strategy. Especially when she asks "Do I look fat in this?"

My bad. I haven't seen the first two. I'd never know anyway. I haven't watched any new movies in over a year. I'm just bored with explosions, and most of the trailers that I've seen suggest that the movie is just some contrived connecting dialog between explosions. Ho hum.

Yeah, I'm not from around there but last summer I ended up playing a lot of MW2 with some Irish and Scottish dudes and decided to mock them a bit by having my clan tag set as [IRA]. They didn't exactly fancy it, for my surprise.

Oh well, it seems that they're just like ETA, they just make more enemies instead of allies when recurring to violence in their struggle for independence and then may end up being laughed at by people not related to any of it. :p

Roosevelt has always been a favorite leader in civ4 for me for some reason, it's just enjoyable to cottage the land and profit, expand and grow stronger. The Sun Tzu quote about winning first and then going to war actually fits in quite nicely with Roosevelt's America. If you're in a fair fight, you're not doing it right. If you can't weasel your way out of something or get backstabbed, you better have that heavy firepower to lay down some hurt on the enemies, without of course exerting yourself too much, and making it back home in time for happy hour. That is always a good victory :D

Self-sufficiency, tech progress, containment and massive naval invasions are something that I tend to get drawn towards in civ4, so in that sense my play style resembles toku somewhat, but he just has no economy in early game, but I guess even toku would be great in the industrial era with shale power plants.

I was just thinking about a certain episode of stargate atlantis where they had a situation with like an indirect reference to civ. there was a game room which allowed interference into the development of some human societies on certain planets, I just think it was prettyfunny watching it since the first guy pretty much relied on high tech gadgets and was at reneissance level of tech for his civ, where as the other guy maximised a more numerous but inferior "dark ages" army.

If Toku was one there I would vote... I liked being an outside influence that does all the fine tweaking with espionage. I hardly trade tech and I dont like open borders. defensive pacts are prolly the only thing I do different from Toku :)

See 2 people have now spoken. We request a Toku option in the poll.

Which leader values tech and economy while conquering through culture, but yet have a strong enough army to wipe out any idiot who declares war on him? I'd be something like that. A builder and a techer with a relatively strong army and a "declare on me and you die horribly" streak.

Roosevelt is so great, men! I play as "prince", and hooked up 1/2 of ancient and classical wonders and as less 2/5 of feudal wonders thanks to my stone and marble sources and his Industrious trait which adds 50% hammer for building wonders. Morever, his Organized trait allow me to adopt such costly religion civic at the very early start, the "organized religion" which just gives me 25% hammer for building in cities with my religion. In additional, he halves the time building of forges, now I have a 100% hammer in compare with those mere states.:hammers:
His organized trait also saved me of half civic maitenance, and halves my time for buliding a courthouse, thank god that saved me from suffering in maintenance.

Aside from the culture part, I'd say that sounds like Hannibal, sorta.

I don't think there's a way to change the options (other than make a new one), but if I could I would replace Wang Kon with Toku, cuz Wang Kon is apparently not popular.

Thanks. That's pretty accurate, now that I think about it.

I was playing a game as Hannibal with the Holy Romans. Dear gods, that was a crazy game. Financial + Ranthaus + corporations = more money than I knew what to do with.

Add to that the Charismatic trait, I have ultra veteran units straight out of the barracks/shipyards. Poor bastards on my continent never knew what hit them.

Best game I ever had.

I think I might be a Ragnar clone. I'm not as absolutely insane with the aggressiveness like Shaka or Monty, but when it's time to bonk heads, it's time to freakin' bonk heads.

I voted Joao. Expansive+Imperialistic+Carrack make him a monster on larger maps with high number of distant lands (Archipelago, Terra)
I'm very surprized that you didn't include Justinian here. He has very good combination that suits both warlike or peaceful game.

Ramesses! No, that's not up there...
Roosevelt! No, that's not up there...
Stalin! No, that's not up there...
I'm going with Mehmed/Huayna Capac.
I expand, build wonders, build courthouses, and pay maintinence with all of that gold.

I find Currency is better for saving my crashing economy after the early expansion than Courthouses, simply because the Currency effect is immediate (extra trade route in each city). I do like the Organized trait in the long-term (towards Industrial Age).

Do you also ignore vital Ancient age techs like Agriculture and Pottery until the AD times? :p

I've found the Ragnar AI to be terrible at research. Otherwise, we are a decent fit.

baffles me that Catherine isn't up there... Build lots of cities, trade techs like crazy, attack whoever you want with zero regard for friendly diplomacy... human style all the way!

There really isn't an ai that plays as well as me on noble. But I voted hannibal. I rex until I can't afford it ( no ai does that) grow my cities large as can be. Backstab anyone, trade techs like a mad man, spead my religion, build as many wonders as possible, etc... Some how this strategy means I dominate on noble... I'm thinking about moving up 2 levels...
