Which mods are you playing?

I play Europa Barbarorum, and had a nice game with Pontos going, but I'm afraid all the teasing the EB team has been doing of late has somewhat killed my enthusiasm for 0.81a2...

I recently downloaded EB, and there is so much clutter on the campaign map that I had to turn the graphics settings to minimum and shadows off. It is still jumpy when I scroll
I can't see myself playing this for very long

The "orc return to mordor" message I beleive refers to Mordor falling into dakrness because of the shadow cult.

Loading times are normal for me.

Is it because you didn't activate the script? It takes a couple of times to do that.

Either from totalwar.org or twcenter.net.

But there are also a lot of mods ié heard about that i still want to try out:
- Arthurian Total War?
- The First Triumvirate?

Anyone of these are any good?

Skip TFT - it's really starting to show its age. Try the newer 77BC mod or better yet wait a couple months and play 58BC: Caesar Imperator once it's released.

Arthurian Total War is excellent. Definitely give it a try.

It's a much nicer change of pace to play a game where you stat out interacting with different foes and such.

Hello all,

You might recognise me from the .Org forums and TWC, I am a Mega Poster there. I like to mod TW games (MTW, RTW, M2TW)

The mods I constantly play (and mod) are Napoleonic Total War 2 (There next release is coming soon) EB and CTW for RTW

Deus los Volt and Stainless Steel for M2TW.

NTW, Pike and Musket and XL mod for MTW.

I don't play STW anymore.

But there are also a lot of mods ié heard about that i still want to try out:
- LOTR mod - They just released it
- Iberia Total War This is about 2 years old, useless scrap nowadays.
- Punic Wars Total War? Dead
- Chivalry Total War? Last release coming out soon.
- Inca Total War? IN early Alpha stages
- Crusader Total War? Floating around, being picked up.
- Res Gestae Total War?
- Terra Expugnadae ?
- Troy Total War?
- Arthurian Total War? Still going, good mod.
- Citadel Total War? Died about a year ago.
- Rise of Persia? Dead.
- The First Triumvirate? Still going.
- Pike & Musket Dead for RTW, going strong for M2TW, and nearly near 2.0 for MTW.
- Age of Vikings? 3 Years old.
- Ran no Jidai We're still waiting for this one...
- Warhammer Total War For RTW, Dead, for M2TW, IT ROCKS! Not released though.
- and so on

Anyone of these are any good?

Are there any mods that have a different or zoomed (like a map of germany rather than all of Europe) maps that are decent? (Besides the 4th Age mod, I already have that one). Especially I would like one that has Ancient Greece (so like Macedonia in the north, all of Greece, Crete im the south, western Anatolia in the east).

I think Troy:TW is like that but I'm not sure.

If I already have RTR installed, do I have to rinstall Rome to play Europa Barbaborium?

You can have multiple installs of the game, just install it into a different folder (EG Rome EB)

I've never played a mod before, but am (as I type) downloading Roma Surrectum. It seems okay from what I have read.

Do you need to have patches 1.3 and 1.5 installed though? I ask because I tried to download patch 1.3 and it failed, can't remember what it said though.

So, any help on anything? I am not the best whizz with computers... :S

Another thing: Can you have the mods if you have the Gold Edition? You know, the one in the box - Eras.
