Which mods do you use?

Question... Is there a way to either get rid of the gossip squares that clutter the screen every round, or at least highlight the important one or get rid of the totally useless ones ? I think I saw that CQUI has incorporated something in this line, but I'd like to know how well it does it... it annoys me no end to get all those message, not have the time to read and identify the important ones before they dissapear, then having as only recourse (which I never do btw because it's so wasteful of time) to click the civs on by one to go see the gossip details...

I'm not looking for a mod that address the gossip tab in the civ detail screen... I'm looking for one that adresses the screen cluttering, or that makes it way easier to go checck them globally after the AI round...

Thx

Same. I hate gossip cluttering my screen cos I can't actually see what's happening to my units. Anyway I posted a bug report -> https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/1-0-0-299-gossip-notifications-block-screen.630971/

(See the thread for link to mods that fixes this)

Hellblazers Notifications completely removes the gossip messages and places them in a notification log slide out screen. Coupled with Simplified Gossip it makes it easy to scan through them.

One mod I use is Better Trade Screen. This is absolutely necessary in my opinion. It allows you to sort according to yield and looks much better than the vanilla interface.

I play marathon and i had the best experince with:
8 age of pace
8 age of war
smoother difficult
ai +
free walls for city states

and a little mod made by me that makes units cost in marathon like the ones in normal speed

Thx. I have to report my game is a much better experience with Simplified Gossip and its Add On. OMG

I am playing Genghis RN (my fav. of R&F civs) and it is absolutely necessary o/w I just cannot see any gameplay during the AI turns. It's so annoying. Both those mods will remain a fixture until Firaxis fix it.

I also wanted to point out prior to R&F I used Caps Lock to fix start locations for maps.

I have been playing modless since R&F, but I intend to get some more again. The first one I intend to get is one that removes random pointless joint war declarations from the AI. I may use CQUI again if it's updated for R&F, I haven't checked.

I use tons of mods.

Few of the most important are:
- AI+ <----Everyone should use this mod. It really fixes lots of the AI problems
- Resourceful
- MOAR Units (all of them)
- Religion Expanded
- Take your time, x2. Doubles the time it takes to research, gain great people and getting to the next era.

Been testing the AI+ mod for a short time and it improves the AI ability to wage war, place cities, and build districts. The issues I have had with the mod are that some of the civ do not improve their civ enough. 2/8 civ have low science throughout the entire game or they do not expand enough even when they have an entire island to themselves. Also the normal early war may not happen. Other than that expect to lose you some cities because this AI does not fall for some of the old exploits you may have used to defend a city. Domination victory is harder with the AI+ mod.

I have been wiped out a few times :p. Both from start and mid game. I never ever been close before I used AI+ =)

I use quite a few, plus a few minor changes of my own.

Better Water Yields (+1 food)
Walls for City-States (and TCS made me a *special* version that adds free ancient walls to capitals, too)
x2 tech/civics
x5 tech/civics
Extra Amenities for CS (prevents rebelling)
Extra Amenities
Constant Cost on settlers/builders/traders
No district scaling
Earlier Disembark (so England has a shot at doing anything)
Nerf for Commerical CS bonus (2 gold instead of 4), + I put a minimum 1gpt on all units
and a few others. Then I buff some improvements, change up some policy cards (like removing the -1/-2 gpt per unit maintenance card(s)).

I've tried messing around with loyalty, but it plays hell with the city drop down panels. They really need to make capitals harder to flip.

Quick Start
Custom Distance for Starting Positions (I HATE having a neighbor 9 tiles away no matter how many/few AI are enabled or how big the map is)
Gold Resource
No Joint War
Alternative Fog of War (Just downloaded so haven't seen it in action yet)
Community Quick User Interface (patiently waiting on it to update so I can enable it again)

Currently playing Expanded Earth mod (just finished a large Earth map "scenario"). The actual name is TSL Earth Remastered (Rise and Fall)
Expanded Religions Mod. Actual name is Religions Expanded.
And a mod I can't remember the name of that makes capitals immune to loyalty issues (pretty much necessary for Earth maps after Rise and Fall). Looked it up and the name is Loyal Capitals.

I have tried AI+ in the past, but for some reason it caused my game to crash in the late game. I'm not sure why since other people haven't had that problem.

Ynamp Terra Maps.
Smaller Map Blip.
(+ Manual fixes for YEILD bug and Classical Era glitch.)

At Epic or Marathon pace it's not to everyone's taste, but for my family it has
turned Civ 6 from a very mediocre easy game into a brilliant, difficult and very
addictive one.

I use a lot of mods! Some of my favorites are:

- Satrap's Court
- Precinct of Amun-Ra
- Religion Expanded
- Tomatekh's Historical Religions
- CIVITAS Resources Expanded
- Sukritact's Resources
- Historic Speed (Extended Eras)
- Better Coastal Cities and Water Tiles
- Better Desert, Snow, and Tundra
- Gold Resource
- World Wonders for Everyone
- Minimized Warmongering Penalties

I know this isn't popular opinion but I'm not a huge fan of mods that use a lot of lua, like UI mods, because I find they cause a lot of slowdown. I also find they cause desyncs frequently in multiplayer.

Disclosure: I created nearly all of those mods except Tomatekh's Historical Religions, Gold Resource and Sukritact's Resources

Where do I find "Better Coastal Cities and Water Tiles" outside of steam?

Sometimes I play without ANY mods, but when I do use them I like for example:

Real great people: Gives pictures for great people
Some new nat.wonders like Grand canyon
Merrimack's Sweden
Venice
Taino civ
Azimuthal map script
Radiant water

Alternatively, you can try this mod. It's one of my favourites. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1459493312

I use:
Better trade screen
Better water tiles
YnAMP
8 Ages of Pace
Fewer AI Temper Tantrums (I didn't want to use it but after a game I ended up at war with 6 people at the same time, for doing nothing. I gave up managing being the target of joint wars in every game.)
