While We Wait....

It seems that a lot of time is spent waiting, like now I'm waiting for choxorn to post his update and rather than spam up his game thread how about a thread to pass the time?

This could be a place to ask peripheral questions related to a game, but that not really important. I think it would cut down on the in game spam.

It will work if posters were a little bit responsible and didn't let it get too out of hand.

Perhaps LzNES ?

So instead it would be:

LzNES: Birth Of An Empire
LzNESIV: City-States of Terraxilla

Not really.
This is just my personal opinion, but I like the way the threads are made, no need to get formal for that.
Although I don't join this type of games for various reasons, it is my understanding that what is favored in the so-called 'lazy NES' is the casual approach.
Having rules start in the thread naming process clearly defeats that purpose.

Moreover, the only two Lazy Nes running right now are RfmK III and Reclaiming the world, so really there's no need to differientiate them.

Finally, if people want to join a 'real' NES, I guess by now they know where to find them.


Now about this thread : Why not.
We'll see how it goes.

Yeah, I gots a couple issues with this (unsurprisingly ):

a) Truth be told, the prefix 'LzNES' doesn't mean much, unless you've actually arrived from the NES forum and know the nomenclature. It's not going to help people from, say, Stories and Tales - you may as well just write 'SHFOEUyyy Birth Of An Empire' and let people think that you had a mild seizure while creating your thread.

b) Also, we already have the Forum Games list, clearly visible at the top of the page, and hopefully that'd be the first place anyone who's interesting in joining a LazyNES would go. Games like those you mentioned have been filed by Pinman under 'Diplomacy and LazyNES', so hopefully the word 'Diplomacy' there would attract the sort of player who might be interested in that sort of thing.

c) Putting LzNES before every game of this type implies that they are all part of a series, and that ain't true, bub. If BoaE is LzNES, then City-States of Teraxilla isn't LzNES IV, because the two aren't in any way related. The only series of LazyNESes is the RfMK series, and that has its own little prefix already.

Ahem, I would like to take on a Small Project. A RfMK style Forum Game. I do have time. However, I want to see if you guys want Medievel, Fresh, or Advanced Fresh (I've got a world I can transplant it to.).

Or Fantasy, please tell me.

Projects

Then, in the beginning we have a couple each. I will also put it under the stats. For example.

AnyNation/AnyPlayer
AnyStats
TA
+3 TPT; -10% techs
EA
+10% to Banked;

ect.

Also, GPT will be divided into City, Infranstructure and Bonus- Total

2 (for capital)/3 (4 in 3)(Infranstructure)/1 (ET)/6GPT

Any suggestions?
