Heheheh... Perf.

I've got a question :
I'm looking for a FREE image editing program that can work layers.
Anyone know a good and easy one ?
What I want to do is move units on a map (if you haven't guessed) without having to manually cut/paste all the stuff, which messes the map underneath.
I aim to please!Heheheh... Perf.![]()
@ Kol.7 : Really, why ?
With the new anti-spam measures taken recently (namely restricting PM's to members with at least 5 posts) a number of forum gamers have lost the ability to PM, which is pretty important in forum games. At the moment, there's a thread where these people can post and get their privileges re-instated but it creates work for the mods/admins and it's more of a quick fix than actually solving the problem imo.
So, I'd like to request that the "Forum Games" forum be split into "Spam Games" and "Non-Spam Games" with the non-spam games having post count re-enabled. Spam games could be defined as any game where the average post consists of less than one sentence, or maybe any game where complete sentences aren't needed. I don't know, that'd be up to TF to decide. Heck, it could even be games where PM's are needed and games where they aren't.
I'd also suggest that members with less than 5 posts could just have their PM boxes be extremely small, like has been done at this forum (they give all new members an inbox with room for only ten messages). If that's still an issue, maybe they could only receive PM's until the requirement has been met making PM spam impossible.
Anyway, that's my suggestion for dealing with the problem. Is it remotely possible?
Guys, we need your vote! Get in this thread and vote vote vote!
Well for me I think the quality of forum games should be encouraged. An that can be done by rewarding it with its own forum.
This postcount stuff is just a useful launchpad for my own desires![]()
Here's the main pro I see - the next time there's a database dump, maybe our stuff gets saved as opposed to going out with the rest of the garbage.
The other pro, and it's a small one, is it cleans up this forum significantly. Right now it's a cluster@%#$ of posts with no organization. Six months ago it wasn't too bad, but now there's so many spam posts the 'good' threads get buried quite quickly.
I'm really surprised this is getting as much flak as it is - the Mods in general have always made it clear that keeping the forums tidy was high on their to-do list, which accounts for all of the sub-forums that litter civfanatics. Give NOTW, Mafia, Lazy-NES, Diplomacy, and DYOS their own sub-forum, and the quality games have a chance to 1) be saved permanently, and 2) will stand out more and have a better chance of attracting and keeping serious players.
Maybe we could just move into the ''All other games'' section and leave forum games? (a possible compromise?)
Really the ideal situation would be to simply get our own forum totally separate of CFC and appoint our own mods. It's a shame that the community isn't really large enough to make such a forum work, and for many people who post in other sections, CFC is convenient whereas a new forum just wouldn't be.
