Actually I know many tabletop women gamers. In fact I've never played a game without at least one female in the group, and MOST games ive played have been 50% or higher female.

Video games are another thing entirely. I have known a few gamer girls, and they DO get a terrible amount of attention because of it.

38% isnt half. Its slightly more than a third :-/. I find it fun to poke at the "mythos" of girlgaming. Though i realize there are quite a few out there. Also, considering how many MEN pretend to be women in certain online games <cough>, most guys who play games simply disbelieve it when they do finally meet the genuine article.

Also, i've known you were female for a while, its just you finally said something that "proves" it and I got the opportunity for the funny. Also, revealing it has illicited the appropriate humorous reactions from this forums ...shall i say "perpetrators" that i expected.
