'Israel was formed based on zionism. Zionism says the jews are a nationality. I can be a good example - I'm no a believer in the jewish religion and I don't believe in god, yet I belong to the jewish people. Israel is a jewish country just like Germany is a German country and France is a French country. If the french can have a country then surely we can .'

I appreciate what you said below this quote but i disagree with the 'then surely we do statement' as I have said before - french people are defined because they live in france - france is not defined by the french (if you see what I mean)

true, but with a whole continent trying to kill you, except for a few countries, i think it is ethical for all the jews to ban together so they can live in peace in their homeland. but that was just the formation of israel. anybody can live in israel nowadays.

in Israel you have nationality and national citizenship.
all Israelies are Israeli of course.
But only jews have the jewish national.

The jews of today are the hebrews of yesterday. Jews were kicked out of Israel by Assyrians, Babylonians, Macedoneans and Romans. Israel, as the only jewish state, should allow back those who were kicked out of it's areas. Also, Israel (as well as zionism) was created as the result of anti semitism. Muslims have many muslim coutries to go to and therefore don't need Israel as a refuge. Untill the rest of the world will be democratic enough to stop racism jews will need a place to escape to.

That's a darned good point.

I never read this thread (like many OT threads I prefer to ignore), but now that I have (well, the 1st page & this page, skipping all the others), I'm glad to see it phrased that way. I've pointed out before that no Muslim nation will touch (e.g., take in) the "untouchable" Palestinians (at least Two threw them out with force). But this is the Converse.

But beyond that , it is 2002, and Israel is an soverign nation, whether others like it or not. And it is not acceptable for groups or other nations to destroy, terrorize, annhilate, etc. Israel.

Palestinians have zero right to Israeli territory, and their "claims" are both bogus and a crutch, as I've outlined in other posts. LOL, just bothering to read the history of the region discredits the entire arguement of PLO & its supporters. Now if only Israel (and America) would take a hard line and slap down all terrorist dogs like the PLO, Hammas, etc.... as well as any nation that supports such groups. Let the chips. Too much endless "negotiation" over red herrings, with an enemy that has no intention of ever making peace.

Peace = Dead terrorists... All of them.
