Video games are another thing entirely. I have known a few gamer girls, and they DO get a terrible amount of attention because of it.

They use this as a tool.. beat them with blunt stick will they are too bussy conversing about male-to-female stuff. :)

I voted for Kael due to our common Ohioness :) (you gotta root for the home team right??) As for girl gamers... Im glad my woman doesn't game, I would never get to game period :D

Well thats what multiplayer is for...

Ohio Solidarity is an excellent reason for voting. But it still strikes me as "positive". Maybe I should have made the question more venial and vulgar.

My D&D group for Frosh year of college had a pair of girls go-DM'ing the show and us poor boys (4 of us) trying to survive fireballs at CL 3. Don't get me started on what happens when you give a green dragon (I don't care how small it is... it's a frekin dragon!) a necklace of fireballs.

My Dorm runs a Crack-in-the-Ac (Gaming in the Academic end of Campus) every Saturday and I'm sure we pull like 45% girls or something like that... and that's on a campus whose ratio is 1 : 2 girl:boy

Oh easily. I think its A) more acceptable in girl-circles now-in-days. And B) there IS the appeal of theatre, and story, and drama. Commonly associated with women. Technically Men, we belong out on the sport field trying to kill each other, and gaming belongs more to women, if we want to look at history a bit more. I personally feel blessed to be amung them.... well... most of them.

Well Crack-in-the-Ac tends to focus on Warcrack III and Natural Selection (A Half-Life mod I do believe)

at my high school there seems to be a lot of anime/gamer girls... Things like anime and videogames seem to be spreading to the opposite gender. It seems so one sided... dont get me wrong im agains males getting into stuff like cloths and makeup lol

@Civkid
Against? Why? It strikes me that if they're willing to bridge the gap, men should too, yes? Is it so wrong to look nice? Makeup ORIGIONALLY was strictly for men, did you know that?

Yeah, I like my wakeup cycle in the mornings for school being about 7 min... tops. (And that includes the shower... yay cold showers...) thankyouverymuch. I dunno about the anime. Im one of those silly purists, watch it in Japanese or not at all (Subtitles allowed). I can't stand the english dubs...

this may be offtopic but not all anime is dubed ... inuyasha and other animes latley on cartoonetwork are in english... not subtitles!

I don't think there's really anything wrong transvestitism... but just out of curiosity, are you a transvestite?

so you're saying that the anime was done in English originally? Not really certain. My Anime tastes tend to be confined to Real Robot - Gundam 0083, 0079 and such, with some dabblings in humor/fantasy (Slayers anybody?). Oh, and that foray into EVA, that was wierd... but fun.

Edit 1: If you're in the theatre business you better get used to makeup though.. it be essential under the lights.

@ Sureshot.
I agree, I MUCH prefer Subs to Dubs, as english voice actors (for the most part) are horrendous. A notable exception was Cowboy Beebop, fantastic all around.

@Deathling.
Transvestitte Executive. Lol, No im not a transvestitte - not cool enough. But I'll ALWAYS challange presuppositions.

@Sareln
Animae is primarily Japanese, with some other asian exeptions. English should be avoided in Animae unless the production company went through pains to find decent actors. See Sureshot.

Paranoia Agent

There may be some im forgetting but that waht i can come up with now... But (@sareln) i hate robot anime...

Edit: i also thought the movies by Miyazaki were good (Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky, etc.)

@Deathling
Yes he's one of the funniest people alive. Glorious and Dressed to Kill are my favorites.
