Who Is Your Hero?

I forgot to mention;
I thought She-Ra was really cool when I was a kid!

What a strong female role model!

My heroes when I was a kid were:
Darthvader
Julius Caesar
Napoleon
Hitler
because they commanded powerful armies with cool uniforms ;)
and maybe because they were all losers

The closest thing to a rolemodel I have now is the Buddha.

Spartacus -
a story too long to type out, look him up if you don't know it.

Popeye the Sailorman-
(may have lost his eye to the legendary Civ3 spearsman)

"I'm a consular official on a diplomatic mission to Alderaan!"

"You are part of the rebel alliance, and a traitor. Take her away!"

Now THAT's a decisive leader. No arguments, just statements of fact. And it was a fact, wasn't it? She WAS a traitor, however hot she might have been.

Top five before I was twenty (I've added to rather than changed the list)

Darth Vader
Admiral Cochrane
Admiral Ray "okay, launch those planes" Spruance
Terry Fox
PM Harry Perkins from the BBC's "A Very British Coup"
- the book sucked

Key Vaderesque additions since turning 20:

PM Francis Urquhart (From the BBC series - the books sucked)

"We are not a nation of social workers, or clients of social workers! We are not a nation of deserving cases! We are a fierce, proud nation - and, god willing, we are still a nation to be reckoned with!"

Henry Kravis and the whole KKR family

And, because he was such a wonderful fraud who actually understood the value of focus, James Carville

My father is the only hero I've ever had.

However, there are many that I admire. Here are a few of them, in no particular order:

Sir Winston Churchill

General George Patton

President Ronald Reagan

President George Washington

Sir Arthur Wellsley

Marshall Carl Gustav Mannerheim

Neil Armstrong

Yuri Gagarin

You know, I can't think of any fictional characters or sports personalities that I admire.
