Because you would have to buy PTW to get those units. If they are posted here some people would not buy PTW and Firaxis would loose money.

Lose Money? How? cant you only play Online with PTW? And Cant you only get the new Civs on PTW? Why in the world would you only want the new units in PTW when you can download all these other custom units from the other forums, makes no sense.

I agree, however rules are rules and some people don't have PTW yet (such as Australians for whom the release has been delayed to Feb 12 )

Once we are alllowed to make PTW Munits I will be starting on making Dino munits

Is it illegal to distrubite them with a scenerio that's for PTW only? Cause if it's not, I can distribute them in Noah's Arc, which will hopefully be close to compleation by mid-Febuary.

Probably, because then people may download the scenerio just to get at the units, and then delete the BIX that they cant use.

computerdude113 you dont have to put the dinos in the download. The PTW players that will download it already have those units.

Also, the resource paths for scenario feature makes it unnecessary to include PTW units in the zip. Teturkhan's Test of Time scenario uses all PTW units and he doesn't need to include a single PTW unit in the zip.

I think the problem is that he wants to use multi-figure dino units. Those are NOT with basic PTW, they would have to be generated specially, just like all the other multi-figure units.

Therefore you would need any multi-fig units (including the basic PTW single figs converted to multis) in the d/l, and that is where the copyright issue comes up.
