So...

1)Religion. That's right; quite possibly the most requested major addition to the game is coming in the Gods & Kings expansion. Using the new "Faith" resource, you'll be able to found your own religion and grow it from a simple Pantheon of the Gods to a world-spanning fully-customized religion.

2)Enhanced Diplomacy, with Espionage. In addition to being able to establish embassies with your rival civilizations, spies will now be an important part of how you conduct your foreign affairs. Surveilling foreign cities, stealing advanced techs, and garnering influence with city-states are some of the things you'll be able to do with this new powerful mechanic.

3) Tnx

...i was right

You know, I have never heard a civ player saying that Religion and Espionage are done well in Civ IV. I think they have been poorly designed, espionage being awful even..

Even Civ III's espionage system is done better than IV's in my opinion.

Haven't had a chance to try out Gods & Kings' versions yet, but at least on paper they already sound more exciting.

Espionage for Civ IV it's better with BTS, but i agree, religion and espionage in Civ IV are poorly designed.

But AT LEAST poorly....in Civ V are NOT designed....:)

p.s. I love dead kennedys

I wouldn't say that religion in Civ4 was done well, but I would definitely say that having Civ4's religion added more to the game than Civ5's not having religion. ;)

I'm however intrigued by the little that has been said about G&K's implementation of religion. That certainly sounds like an interesting, flexible and promising approach.

... because now i can appreciate Civ IV more than yesterday.

1) Where is religion?

2) Where is espionage?

3) Where is micromanagement?

A simplification for obtain more players?

Yep. But with a very good pc.
:sarcasm:

It's pathetic how Civ 4 spamboys list a bunch of broken and terrible features in an attempt to make their game look "cool"

If anything you're just making your game look lamer than it already is. FYI: Alpha Centauri >>>>>>>> Civ 3 > Civ 5 > Civ 4 *spits*

If you didn't already know the order of greatness, you're more ignorant than I ever could have imagined - and that's saying a lot

Tnx, u have bring this thread to a new level of awarness.

Yeah you are right that it would have been nice to get more features when Civ V was launched. Also some ideas, while very good like city-states, didn't have enough meat on the bones. I'm happy that the new expansion will make them more complex.

Also, not everything has been announced yet about the expansion, who knows what cool things are waiting for us.. :)

Hey you're the first that noticed Dead Kennedys. :goodjob:

Civ5 is a good game because it helps me to cure my civ addiction. When I crave for a civ game but really can't afford to, I launch civ5. Two hours later my craving has greatly lessened.

Only it's a matter of days before I crave for a civ4 game, of course.

As a friend told me today: "Going from civ5 to civ4, I get the feeling I should have going from civ4 to civ5: deeper, more coherent, funnier"

I can't even tell what your point is here.

Are you trying to make fun of civ 5 by saying you only have to play it for a little until your "craving" is fixed?

Or are you making fun of civ 4?

Or is this a compliment?
