why does this "sneak preview" happen?

often when i load a game this would show up!

which is extremely nasty if you don't want to cheat, like say which way you should go exploring.

or in multiplayer, after starting the game, i already know where everything is. this doesn't seem fair. And it isn't fun, because it covers halve the the screen.

it's impossible not to see it.

the pc doesn't respond while drawing that, so you've allready seen it when it's too late

How long's it up? I mean, wouldn't you have to really study it before it was of any use?

well you see instantly that you are on an island, where on the island, where this island is, which way would be most interesting to expand to, which way to send your ships to explore the globe...

i dunno, i don't want it, it's cheating
