Why don't they want to buy my city?

Really? I thought that going over the OCN would cause an increase in corruption in all cities.

Probably the confusion is due to the fact that someone is talking about Vanilla/PTW and some other about Conquest.
In Vanilla things works as i say, i've tested it. Kill a far corrupt city and the other will experience less corruption. You hardly note the difference in a single city, but the overall income can be raised by a few gpt.
In Conquest things may be different. I've read around that corruption is dealt differently. Since i don't own conquests, i can't say much about this issue.

In PTW, I once gifted a recently captured city to a 3rd Civ (Korea?) who did not want to enter the war. The city was recaptured by the original owner and Korea declared war.

Because when you gift cities, they are given undefended. Your enemy probably thought, "Hey, one of my former cities, undefended. I'll just take that..."

Hello.

I have a city for sale. It's far from the core of my empire (that's why I am willing to give it away). I conquered it from another civ because it contained the GLib. But now the GLib is obsolete, and the city fully corrupt, so it's no use for me. Still, it's a nice city with beautiful surroundings.
But strangely, no other civ wants to buy it, even for 1 measly gold.
Is there any rule prohibiting to sale cities?

Give it away it makes AI's extra happy one time when I was losing a game I gave all my cities to the Maya except one and they loved me

That probably explains it then. I don't own conquests either.

 For some reason that made me laugh!

Anyway, I think this is one of the other areas where the AI is seriously broken. I mean come one, 1 gold for a free city is such a steal, they would be idiots not to accept it.
