Why the gameplay has a pretty limited Civ?

Okay from the current gameplay, we see China, Brazil, Egypt and France are not included, why?
And there aren't Arabia and Sumeria too, why?

Maybe the AI isn't ready to use them yet, maybe there's other problems. Maybe they wanted to highlight these Civs.

How would we know?
