I started my current game before the patch and am still playing the game after the patch. I noticed something wierd after the patch. An egyptian city next to me had two workers working tiles that already had improvements. Both tiles were plains. One worker was turning a farm into a cottage. Another worker was turning a cottage into a farm. This seems rather odd. Has anyone else noticed anything like this.

There must be a pre-patch worker and a post-patch one. Wait until one kill the other. :p

Maybe the villagers decided to relocate to nicer area.

I haven't got the patch but I have noticed this behaviour on on or two occaisions pre-patch, did it have anything to do with chain irrigating? That is what the new AI is capable of I think.

Have you ever had an AI do it to tiles you've lost through cultural pressure? I remember the AI farming over 4 fully developed towns right outside a city I had captured. Bummer.

Yeah! It was so annoying I declared war and destroyed the worker performing such a nefarious deed.

Its happened ever since vanilla 1.00. Just goes to show how each worker thinks individualy and is incapable of seeing the big picture.

I think this is one of the better jobs Firaxis has done in mimicking real life workers. :)
