Al has one of the best concert presences of any I've seen, and I've been to a LOT of concerts. He typicaly changes costumes about 8 times in a show, and when he's offstage doing that, you're not stuck waiting, cause he runs bits of his AlTV segments from MTV, bits from UHF, and the like, including some hilariously re-soundtracked 50s educational films.

If you get the chance, SEE Al IN CONCERT. You will NOT regret it.

I think that "Amish Paradise" is the greatest. He has some other good ones, too.

I am going to assume you are joking. I have no interest in goth 'culture' whatsoever.

Yes I was joking about you going to see him.

But not about the show part. His show was 30's Germany, burlesque and nazi and dandyism. Oscar Wilde influences and Mickey Mouse and swingdancing. The 'goth culture' came from some of the audience members. Meh, to each his own, but his was the best live show I've ever seen.

Why, it's Coolio's "Gangster's Paradise," which I actually find an even better song. Gangster's Paradise is based on Pastime Paradise by Stevie Wonder.

Actually, Weird Al was born Alphonse Yankovic, and is not a relation to Frankie Yankovic, the once highly regarded and now deceased Polka King. IIRC, his father's name is John, and his mother's Mary.

Known to some, but not others, is that Al has a degree in Architecture, and chose that field of study because 'it was first on the list'.
