Will Civ 5 run on my laptop?

Everything apart from my graphics card reaches the recommended requirements (Intel Hd 4000). The demo works fine, but how well will it work later on in the game? Also will it run in Windows 8? Thanks.

I have a dell XPS 12" i7 2.0 GHz with Intel HD 4000 and windows 8 touch screen and the game plays just fine. I even played the BNW demo on it for about 6 hours till it ended on turn 200. It was a small map though. G&K on a huge map still has the late game slowdown and grey, but it is still playable.
