I was wondering if anyone is going to get Explorers or whatever it's going to be called. Please explain why you will or won't. I will because I like to keep uptodate.:scan:

Have they actually already announced another one?

I didn't buy Warlords because I was dissappointed int he qualtiy of vanilla. I am glad I did not as well as now that it is out, everything I thought it was going to be, is what it is - and less. The only way I can see myself buying the next expansion when it comes out is if they actually began working on game balancing in warlords. Then in the following expansion they actually addressed navy/air, the UN, decide what they are going to do with religion - if anything or at least balance the system more, balance AI diplomatic modifiers, and/or fix promotions. Of course if all of this was done through patches (not all could but some could easily) I would probably support them and buy it. But I think it will just be more scenarios and civs. So, probably not.

I will definitely get it as I have been really enjoying Warlords. The replay factor for Civ is huge.

it depends on what it adds, and what the theme is. It wont come out for a while, so dont get to worked up about it

I'd definitely get it, as I really enjoy Civ4.

I still like Civ3 too, of course, but I suffer from the love of new things like many others.

Ya cuz I skipped on Warlards, so you might want to add" in a packaged discount " like Civ3 Complete. In this case, In a flash. I voted Never if its not. Civ3 Conquest was so good by letting me play 3.5 in mod form for free that I am obliged to contine paying tribute in buying COMPLETE 4. Heck I figure I still owe them for making something possible thats better the CIv4 (Balancer Reloaded among a few other 3rd expansion-like mods)

Ya More scenarios can't hurt, Im mean they can't hurt as much as the last ones. More Civ's? thats scary. Ether they shrink the maps or del an era for that to go smooth :)

Ideally they figure how to smooth out huge maps+many Civ type situations before they make it possible to use 31 or more. Othewise I pity 1/3 players at least, who attemp anything substantial

I hope there is no next expansion for Civ 4, but directly a new Civ 5, where Firaxis corrects all the big mistakes they did with Civ 4.

A new Civ 5 where they get rid of that, in my eyes, completely unnecessairy 3d graphic engine, that is a big obstacle for modding.

A game where all those high quality Civ 3 units can easily be imported.
A game that is really a paradise for modding.
A game where the AI tries to win.
A game where Firaxis discovers again, that most terrain on earth is water.
A game where - at least -naval combat works more like Civ 3.
A game with a reason to have a merchand navy, not only troop transports.
A game where helicopters work like in Civ 2.
A game where caravans are back like in Civ 2.
A game that can be run with huge maps and lots of cities on average pc´s.
A game ...

I didn't buy Warlords and I'm not intending to any time soon. I bought Civ4 the day it came out for £18 :D . The cheapest I can find Warlords for (apart from Ebay but I'm not taking any chances) is around £12. I love Civ4, it's great but I'm not paying that amount of money for just a few new civs and units. Unless the next expansion is a lot cheaper I won't be going anywhere near that either!:nono:

I'll likely buy it. Warlords changed the game enough to freshen it up a bit. I'm assuming that the next variably-hypothetical expansion pack will do the same. I'm hoping that it'll be something to do with diplomacy and / or the modern age. I'd like to see it be called Civ IV: Statesmen or something like that.

some of the mods out there are as good or even betetr than a new expansion check out he mods and creation forum check out the "fall from heavan mod specificly"

I'll buy it if, as I asssume, it will be more concerned with making builders/negotiatiors/traders happy and less focused on warmongers than "Warlords".

i d buy it but id prefer the next exp to be on civil wars and to add another two era's and couple more leaders
