Wimbledon - who will win?

Not sure on the men's, but I like Venus in the women's.

Wimbledon is for those fast serving, volley players. Usually it's very boring to watch the men play wimbledon, since the ball usually only go two or three times over the net.

I think Lleyton Hewitt has a good chance to win.

You don't really have a reason to be sad.I think no German even reached 1/8 final and only two round three. The times of Boris,Steffi and Michael are really over.

I think Hewitt and and Serena will win.

BTW, who are these guys Malisse and Nalbandian?

In the men's competition, Lleyton Hewitt.

To quote the hilarious movie Top Secret "In women's tennis, I always root against the heterosexual.":D

You've got to go for Williams in the women's final.

In the men's I want Hewitt to win. Not only because Henman is so utterly tedious and it would annoy countless blue-rinsed old grannies in Middle England, wheresoever that may be, but also because I seem to remember him getting all crazy at Wimbledon a few years back and everyone tutting in the usual way, saying that such characters wouldn't ever win at a gentle sport like tennis. Fools. Don't they remember the 70s bad boys, admittedly all soft these days. We need someone with a bit of fire to erase the dull Sampras from the memory.

Wow - I've written quite a bit and don't even like tennis particularly. Playing's all right but it's almost as dull to watch as the Grand Prix these days. Mind you, my girlfriend quite likes it and I always seem to pick the weekend of the finals to go and visit my parents so my dad'll be watching on Sunday (weather permitting).

I'd quite like to see the bloke who beat Lapenti last night win it (name?) or the Belgian (Malisse?) - mainly because it was so good last year to see the outsider win - would be nice to see it again. Not much chance though

Ya, Ivanisevic was fun to watch last year because he was an underdog in every single match he played, and had the kind of fire Duke is talking about, alas, he's just getting too old to play like that anymore:(

Sorry for the Brits:Henman is out.

Australia rules.

andycapp and I were right:Serena has won.

Yay Lleyton!! I love it when Australians win. Let's hope he does :D

He won. :D
AUSSIE! AUSSIE! AUSSIE! OI! OI! OI! :king:

And he is from Adelaide... I can predict what the newspaper front page is going to be about this morning...
