Win with only barbs left?

If you destroy all other civs, but leave a barb city alone, is your game over from world domination or can you still build ss?

As long as there is still a city (or even a settler) that you do not own, then you haven't won by conquest. Why not start trading with the barbs? All they ever do is pump out troops at the usual AI cheating rate though, but if they're on an island or you're properly defended with fortresses and Mech infantry around their city then you can start to work on a massive score.

Are you sure of this Duke O'York????

I'm pretty convinced that the turn you destroy the last AI Civ you win the game by conquest.... As far as I know there was a discussion about this a few months ago and everybody agreed that you didn't have to own every city, but all you had to do was to be the last Civ left!!!

I know that I have tried it out and I know I did win the game when I conquered the last AI city, even when the barbarians had three cities!
