hey all.
there are a number of things that were featured in civ2 that i wish had been included in civ3, but with play the world cumming out, one in feature in particular is going to get on my goat.
when i played civ2 online, it was in a window. a beautiful window, which meant i could use msn/icq or what even while playing a game with a friend (since they were very long, it is useful to not be trapped in a full screen game)
i know it probably had more to do with the age of the game rather than it being an actual feature as such, but it was so useful! during other players turns you could minimise is and get on with something else, or talk to ppl on msn. my point is, would it be possible for someone to invent a program to allow civ3 to operate in a window, or am i missing some huge problem with this idea? i can understand y games like quake are full screen, but civ3 has a normal windows mouse for gods sake! it cant be THAT taxing on grapics either.
what do u clever ppl out there think about having civ3 as a windowed program? i just cant understand y they had to design it to be fullscreen.
oh well! and ideas?
tnx
