Windows 7 and Modding?!?

I seem to be having issues loading mods on my new Windows 7 machine. Is this a potential root of the problem? Maybe I am clueless about Mods in general. Words of wisdom?

I seem to be having the same problem. BtS will not even load the in game mods; the game just crashes to desktop. PLEASE HELP!!!

Well I'm familiur with the Legends of Revolution installer, since I wrote it. If you can't get LoR to work I can try to help debug that. Though I wager it will work fine, that or refuse to install and tell you why.

FWIW, have you tried setting the compatibility settings? (And if you don't know what that is, feel free to ask - in the correct subforum, please)
