Windows 7 Problems

Hey Everyone...

I've been having problems loading Civ 4 after a fresh install. It starts loading and when it reaches Int MP / VOICE it freezes up.

I've tried installing it fresh with patches multiple times now as the administrator. I've also tried installing directx off the MS website.

Any clue whats wrong with my install? I took it to work today and tried installing it on a Windows 7 machine with no problems.

Wow - I just installed Beyond the Sword and it seems to have solved my problem.

It looks like the problem has returned! I get the same message when I try to run BTS.

what message is displayed?

BTS starts loading an when "Int MP / VOICE" is displayed on the screen is freezes up.

Perhaps I have to change a setting?

did you patch the game?
are you running it with admin rights?
