Windows 8.1 issues

Every time I try to play civ5 now (since updating to 8.1) with directx 11, it appears to be playing in 3D. Can anyone tell me how to turn off the 3D in NVidia? Also, when I try to play the windows 8 version, it will run fine for a while, then randomly crash. When I restart the game, it crashes quicker. It loads fine every time. Then.............. Need help. Sorry guys I'm not too tech savy!

Ctrl+t will toggle it on and off. NVIDIA control panel under stereoscopic 3D is where you can enable or disable the stereoscopic 3D.
