I noticed the steam page only shows the windows icon next to the pre-releases. No announcement of support for OSX or Linux? That's sorta a step back from Civilization 5, which had great multi-platform support. :(

I say this as someone who uses Ubuntu as my main operating system. I can dual boot, but windows is sooo slow. (Yes, I have a SSD)

I doubt it would be Windows only; it's just that the port would be done external to 2K, so don't form part of the 2K announcement. I would anticipate an announcement at a later date in relation to both OSX and Linux.

How can you describe the Mac support for Civ 5 as "great"? The porting is all kinds of sloppy, no editor, modding is a scrambled mess. In fact, after 2 years of Mac experience I've been annoyed on so many occasions that finally I just Bootcamped Windows onto my machine for a much better experience.

I for one will be buying the Windows version, unless the graphical demands are prohibitive, in which case I won't be buying it all :(

That will also probably be as with CiV: Pay once on Steam and get Civ on all your machines, regardles of OS.

I played on my Windows laptop and my Mac. The problem was the cloud saves weren't compatable and the mods didn't work from the workshop. As far as I know that's all fixed now, so I could play a decent modded game on both PCs, and I'm sure it will for Civ6 too.

I'd even go so far and say I expect Civ6 to be compatable between iMac and iPad, judging by the graphics :scan:
