CIV4 Unit-Maker
First things' first, nice to get back here after like 5 years of absence, hello people.
For all of you mass effect fans out there, heads up! - it's not just a civ4 unit, it's a LIFE Reaper!!
It's not complete yet and I just wanted to show off a little of what's coming on.
Basically it's a model elements out of an ingame reaper destroyer attached to a skeleton of some sci-fi 4-legged unit I found here. Looks pretty fine although yet not perfect, you might notice a minor displacement of legs when it walks in Nifscope, but really, it doesn't catch an eye so much in game.
Making it perfect requires a skill I do not possess -
1) making it's front plates opened when fortified/firing
2) adding fidget animations, that will make a reason to add it's native game sounds that every mass effect nerd likes so much
3) I don't know who cares today in 2014 about polycount, personally I didn't back in 2007, but if it's possible - reduce it and simple up the model. I don't know how to measure the number polygons, but it's huge. Weak computers that can't support games like Mass Effect may get a heart attack when running it.
If anyone familiar with that thing feels able to do something of what I've just described above - ask me and I'll gladly upload it for you.
If you just want a unit for your personal mod, talk to me, but anyway, I'm planning to upload it after I'll finish all what I'm able to do for it.
Any ideas about it's unique mod are also welcomed.
