Yeah, I don't believe people like that- so crazy!

WAR MAPS (finally!)... it turns out the numbers don't matter too much. So I will use a flexible schema:
First, what is a war map? Well, as I understand it, it dictates areas where your wants to attack/invade. So we will use this for three things: a) to take cities from other civs, b) to lower relations with another civ due to border tensions, c) simply to attack an area, ie to get France to invade London
Try to only loosely follow the guidelines below. It really is a scale from 1 to 10. This is just to let you know the right kind of colour emphasis to give different regions until you get used to it. I have included France as an example.
For very complex maps, such as for France, you may use all numbers.
For simpler civs, use just even numbers, with the addition of 9. You may make it even simpler and leave out more numbers. However do not do something in between these two ideas, please. You can always post if you are having difficulty
2. LIGHT GREEN: bare interest, kind of like "what-if" lands or small scuffles
3. TAN: bridge between 2 and 4
4. GOLD: really unimportant areas that were sort-of-owned
5. LIGHT ORANGE: unimportant areas owned briefly
6. ORANGE: more important areas owned briefly
7. ROSE: areas owned for a while and/or much desired and/or really want to attack
8. RED: part of modern-day country but not as important as higher #s etc.
9. DARK RED: core region (looks like blood red, in first column)
10. YELLOW: capital region; defend with your life
note: the #s here are just for reference. Do not worry about them. All you need to do is fill in the colours
