WorldBuilder Error See Lua.Log

Thread name pretty much explains it, lmao.

Lately I've been having trouble trying to create a custom continents map, huge, with different starting positions. By that, I mean by manually going through each civ I chose for the map and placing a settler with warrior units to start off. Nothing else, plain and simple right?

Well in accordance to that, I also haven't changed the custom continents map at all as far as the landscape (Other than having grasslands to replace some single plots to include some coasts, deserts, and random mountains. Nothing really big in proportion.) and by only replacing a few resources to benefit each civ.

After all is said and done, I save my world as whatever the name is and exit back to the main menu as usual.

I would create the custom game as expected for a WorldBuilder Map with the civ of my choosing. Everything would load just as normal until I click "Continue" after the civ biography prior to the game starting.

I would then receive this error "Error - One or more of the startup scripts has an error. See lua.log."

**NOTE** In addition to this error, I had already uninstalled the game and deleted all the file contents, reinstalled the game with NO MODS at all, made the same type of map with conditions and I still received this error.

Long story short.. Need help lmao. Not sure if this was already posted and resolved either, if so apologies. Haven't been able to find a thread with this specific issue.

Is there a line mentioning an error in your Lua.log ?

The logs can be found in your "..\Documents\my games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Logs" folder.

Below is what I'm seeing in the lua log as of now (Apologies for the excessive context, had it on a word doc but wouldn't upload for some reason). The one thing I did notice is "Failed to create mods browser search context!" But I'm not sure if this is the exact problem.

Usually 13, but due to the recent issues I just leave it at 18.

**NOTE** I've recently made a map from scratch and tested a theory per the link you mentioned. So I'm able to start an actual game when I DO NOT preset my starting location. When I do preset (have a city already built in WB then create a game) it would crash with the same error.

Hey buddy, i dont know if you still have the same problem but i found a way to fix this !!! You have to put the units of the civilisation you want at the place you want it and not set a starting zone. Just tried it because i had the same problem and my starting zone at the actual place i placed my settler and my warrior ! So i hope it helps :D
