Worst Enemy

Isabella. She just won't stop pestering me about religion.

I hated Monty till I made a Permanent Aliance with him, together we conquered the world! :D

Toku is so isolationist and I ALWAYS end up in war with him, and until now I've never lost an war with him, even he being agr/pro, his samurais/longbows are no match to mine artillery/infantry

Alexander is not that bad, I never played a game where he was strong, in fact, he's soOoOo weak :king:

Stalin is terrible, once he invaded me in the worst situation possible in 2000BC , I loaded the Autosave 4000BC and prepared to a war... he was completely crushed :mwaha:

Isabella is also terrible, why does she need to have her own religion?? :dunno:

Mansa Musa, beause he always leads the tech tree

Ghandi can also be an headache if you have a diferent religion, he's not the major problem, the problem is the enemies he makes us

Ghengis Khan is very agressive and declares war at all time, nevertheless his UU is terrible ;)

Montezuma - lesson to be learnt: if you encounter the Aztecs, declare war and finish them off ASAP.

Alex doesn't pose me a problem, in fact, he can be a valuable ally.

Julius (or was it Augustus) was a pain in a butt in one game... kept demanding tributes every other turn.

Isabella can get terribly annoying. I hate to have her in a game.

Isabella's reaction to you is heavily dependant upon religion. If you share her religion, she's usually your best buddy. However, if yours is different, she'll make frequent attacks if she is able.

I actually like Monty, if I can get to civil service (macemen). Monty usually stops pushing tech as hard as he can when he gets cats, swords and longbows. If you can hold him off until you get macemen/crossbows, hes a much weaker foe. But early on, do not expect him to stay your friend, since he declares war at the drop of a hat, or even less...

Bismarck is a terrible foe if he lasts until the modern age. When he gets Panzers, expect his aggresion to kick up a notch, because he's suddenly deadly.

I usually dislike my closest neighbor with the military or tech advantage.

But in terms of AI, Monty can be difficult. Ghandi, Cyrus, and Mansa Musa can be great if you can leech; they are royal pains otherwise.

The ones who war with me early (aggresive AI) can basically destroy my game if I'm not ready.

EVIL AZTEC FASCIST PIGS MUST BE DESTROYED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STOP THE FIRE BEFORE IT REACHES YOU!!!!!!!! HE IS THE HITLER OF CIV IV!

              :ar15:

I'm not sure whether I hate Mansa or Hatty more, but I know I hate them both a whole heck of a lot.

Good ol' monty can be a pain, especially if he's right next to you. But, he has the advantage of serving as a VERY useful attack dog, if he's far away and you have good relations. Heck, in my most recent game (small pangaea, 5 civs, marathon), I semi-intentionally used Monty to keep the Mongol Empire busy on the eastern side of the continent while I vassalized Egypt and Russia.

In my experience... France is nuts, especially under Napoleon. In all the games I've had where I've shared borders with France, they've inevitably attacked me. It doesn't matter if I have comparable military power and great relations... they'll attack me. In such a game, I will typically be in a state of near-perpetual war with them. Though, on a more positive note, the games where I share a border with France are the ones that taught me to make better use of diplomacy... because it's always nice to have a friend (or three) whenever France shows up drunk and itching for a fight.

So, my #1 enemy is France, since both Louie and Napoleon are aggressive without being easy to manipulate, like Monty.
My #2 enemy would be Shaka, due to the fact that he acts like Napoleon in the games he's in... but he tends to be in my games far less often, so he's less annoying.
And finally, my #3 enemy is Ghengis Khan, only because he makes constant demands for things (technology, war alliances, gold...). Fortunately he tends to leave me alone if I agree to those demands.

Wang Kon and Mansa -- I'm not generally a big conqueror, if they are on another continent or so, they are very tough. I agree with Daiyoukai Ramza, the France's are also difficult, especially under Nap.

Saladdin : annoying tech whore with religion issues AND protective = thorn in your side.

Huyana : will launch a spaceship (:crazyeye: ) in 1600AD if left to his own device = must take him out asap.

Isabella : fanatical religious b**ch (but backwards so not much trouble)

Cathy : backstabbing pest, but with good looks, so half forgiven ;)

Toku : Who is this ? Oh yeah, that guy who never speaks to anyone and ends up being in the way when you launch a major invasion with modern armor and you have to divert some of your forces to take care of his longbows...

Mansa : Friendly tech whore, so he's cool.

Anyway, they are all targets after all, aren't they ?

I love his french style
all AI are whore

I don't like surprises. Isabella has been the biggest shocker of them all with me. Back stabbing B%#*!

On several occasions she has lead a group to attack me out of the blue. At least I expect Monty and Alex to do that. That little Korean guy can be demanding too.

All that aside I'm going to win a diplomatic victory.. even if I have to kill everyong to do it

Alexander. I never even bother opening borders with him any more. I know that about 10 turns later, he'll get mad and end the agreement anyway then DOW soon after.

Isabel is indeed a backtabbing B$*&$ if you have even the SAME religion.

And I hate these evil, Evil aztecs. Is Monty paranoid or what?
