WOTM 07 Results & Congratulations

I think it must have been because I signed up to the forum quite late, by which time "spaceman" wasn't available (and therefore I added "mf"), but I have been submitting Civ 4 GOTMs from the start and so it must have been available for those purposes. Or something.

Please note that you are *supposed* to register with the forums first, then use your forum name for all your GOTM submissions. But as they are different servers in different domains we don't cross-check. If I find some time you may find that your submissions get renamed to your forum name.

What's funny is I thought until about 500AD that I had a really good shot at a conquest/domination victory...two civs down, 4 to go...oh wait, why is it gonna take me 47 more turns to research Alpha? oh crap...

Yeah, same here ... except replace "500ad" with "0ad", "two" with one and "good" with "outside chance." Wow, what does that say that I retired a thousand years later with my empire in shambles and still placed in upper 2/3 of list? Ouch, glad I wasn't alone.

Congrats to all the winners, and even the losers who came close! I think of all the short list of GOTM I've played since joining, this is the one I am most interested in going back to some day to try to look at other games and learn from. May be a while though.

About the scores.. imho culturewin 1625, is atleast as impressive as 10ad domination, i mean, how much earlier is it possible? and scores seem way different despite. just my 2cent

anyway, any know where can i see formular used to calculate scores ?

Roger that. It was so long ago that the Civ 4 GOTMs, I can't really remember what happened. But hey, no harm done.
