Except that the economy benifits in war because of the jobs it provides.
It just cause more arguments.
If aliens attack, they'd probably be repelled by a combination of America, Russia and China. Other countries would contribute, but I'm guessing it'd be the 3 main nuclear countries that'd blow up all the space-ships.
Well all know what happened after the last time America and Russia wiped out a common enemy. They'd all end up having a huge argument over the spoils of war, and it'd be the cold war all over again. Times a thousand
