Would upgrading from Vista 32-bit to Win7 64-bit help Civ5?

I'm currently running 32-bit Vista, with Aero (and most of the other post-XP GUI "enhancements") disabled. Would upgrading to Windows 7 noticeably improve Civ5 performance?

totally don't do that! i updated it yesterday because of ram memory
and it turns out it's even worse besides 6 gb of memory

Did you upgrade to Win7 64 bit of Win7 32 bit?

While I'm not sure I understood what have been written before, I got the feeling that one does not upgrade from a 32 bits version of an OS to the 64 bits one without having a very good reason known as having 4 GB or more RAM.

As it has been concisely said, you should see any noticeable effect. However, in the day to day use of your OS, there should be some difference.
