In an effort to direct the dialog in a more positive direction. I am simply proposing we entertain some ideas with dialog allowing some Good Fortune to carry the moment. :)

Please, vote, comment and submit ideas or clarification, however in a 'can do' tone.

Many THANKS in advance

None of the above.

That's all right, warpstorm!! you weren't negative :goodjob:

I'll have to say none of the above also.

I didn't quite understand some of them. Sorry, don't mean to be negative. Maybe you could explain them in more detail and then I can vote.

Thanks.

This survey is borne out the current situation, i.e. no more patches in sight for CSC.

1. Shall continue to petition 'access' to the code so as make our own community 'modders patch' as it where. You need programming experience for this one.

2. Tackle deciding what gets addressed or changed, in order and by merit. If we (the community) got a chance at it, all would benifit I'm thinking. ( I am a optimist, simply put )

3. Is, 'oh well my mod (or your mod) makes C3C it so much better no matter', so let us just hope and focus herein. ( a pragmatist approach to be sure )

4. Screw CIV 4 until later, much later... and keep a eagle eye out for something better earlier as in a little competition. ( I have provided links in Bad News thread above to a possible candidate now coming into beta status, Aug/Sep 04 my estimate )

Mmmh with your last post your poll makes a lot more sense ;)
You've got to remember that people are not always in your exact mind-configuration :)

I voted none of the above because I think C3C is quite cool right now. There's no bug that is serious enough to damage my pleasure !

Well then number #3 is a natural, for even though we mod to change, we do it for the pleasure and not just because we now happen to have a beef with a few things... artillery, armies, subs, barbarians, lack of events, too much water on random map... things like that, however your joy is honored. :goodjob:

Thanks for the info. I guess my feeble brain still doesn't get it though. Sorry. I'll vote none of the above. I like C3C as is now and I can wait 4 years if I have to for Civ4......well.....maybe not 4 years. lol.

Antrine, while I like Empire and where he is taking it (except for the part where he essentially says that the AI will be a pushover and hopes a buyer will improve it), it isn't really going to be competition for Civ4.

What's the point of this poll?

All options make not really sense together.

Bad verbalization of rather unconnected questions.

My poll:

1. eggs
2. play cards
3. play cards later
4. play cards when people consider it wonderful

I am sorry... could not resist.

I like your poll too!! :D I was under duress; however, it is getting better now.

warpstorm, I'm with you on the AI push-over; however that will be most temporary!!

On another potential, not looking good is Spartan. Played it a couple of times, inquired to mod the army size (16) down to 8, which I think so far skews all play one direction to the size 16 armies and makes it loop-sided. ( I feel so far ) to bad. They are working on a map editor, good move. Nevertheless, I sure would like to adjust that army size down. They said it was hard-coded 16.

Boy, what it takes to keep a TBS engaging turn upon turn!?

Now that analysis is valuable! :goodjob:
