Earlier today i loaded Civ Conquests and all the writing on it was wrong. What i mean is instead of like the normal civ content, quick start and all that on the tital screen. It said things like barricade, play the world just to mention a couple. The old options still work fine its just the wording is all wrong. Also in the game itself dates are wrong and many of the settings have all the wrong wording. I tried reinstalling the gam and that had no effect, so i unistalled the update and then reinstalled it again no change. But if i removed it again all the writing was correct again but this means i just have version 1.0. As soon as it goes back on again the problem occurs. This is a little anoying as if i want to laod any sav files from which wer created when using the update i cant use them at the moment. Any suggestions ?

Sounds like your labels.txt file was corrupted. Have you installed any new mods or patches lately? Sometimes a patch will mess that up. You can reinstall to clear this, I'm thinking.
Nice idea ive tried a reinstall and its still doing it so im really a bit puzzled by whats caused it and why its now persists even after a reinstal. I was thinking along the lines of have i installed the wrong patch if there is different versions of it depending on what part of the world you are from. I thought it was gonna work when i found one of the labels.txt was different on this pc to any of the others here and tha they were all the same so i tried copying there ones over mine but that made no difference. Thanks anyway tho.

Sounds like something that happened to me eariler.
I was playing RAR and accidently hit the BACK buttom to the title screen. It had the script there. I had all the things people say when you click the umhappy people.

Ive tried a restart it did this to m once before long ago. My pc went complety down about a day later so everything had to start again so i kinda forgot about it. It anoying , i can still play it seems but on this forum i tried downloading a save game file for a five city challenge game and now im getting errors on that. All my save games till work tho so im not sure if its related or not. I'll check it out when I get a chance.... but it this happening before you load the game or after?

It happens as soon as its loaded on the main title screen with all the options which should say stuf like civ content, load game, quit, quick start etc. The options are still there it just the yall have the wrong wording and same applies to many things in the game. I only did an unistall/reinstall, before that i just use the reapir option but as that did nothing i uninstalled the programme. I noticed that the mods stayed in placed so at least i didt have to put them back again. Maybe thats the problem ?
I had this problem with Vanilla, basically the copyright texts at the main menu were stuff like "You should've saved me. I would've voted for you!" or "He who stands alone in the international community loses." 
It got even better when I tried a new game..

O dear ive tried that as well now and i put the patch on first before any of the mods. It didt make any difference. Im wondering if its some odd registry type thing ? Or maybe my Update is corrupt. Is someone has a link the 1.22F update that they know it not corrupt that would be great. All the same thanks for the input.

I can only play them if they have an unpatched version.
Another odd thing is some of the mods do require the patch but even without it they work.

ive had this problem , i reinstalled counqests and it worked.

The -Nil- issue is no problem. That's just a memory leak; restart the game, and everything is fine (that one is the reason why Mapfinder restarts the game after some intervall).
The original problem: It should be related by the labels.text - did you check if that one was incidentially altered? The 1.22 patch can be found on CFC.

Yep ive tried that patch it was the same as mine but i tried it anyway just in case mine was corrupt. With refrence to lables.txt file mentioned i compared all versions of that file against other computers on the network here. I noticed that the lables.txt can be found in multiple places. After comparing all varients on all sytemns her i noticed that on this one, one of them was different to what was in place on all the others. I tried a copy paste hoping that this would fix the problem but it had no effect.
Ive read somthing about the patch not working on certain versions of Conquests. Is ther any truth behind this. I have what i would assume to be the UK version of the game and i read something about the patch being only for the US version is that correct and if so how can i tell what version a patch is for. If it makes any difference again i install Conquest as an extention to Vanilla.
