No. We would need to make it first. It's not even the next release.

Release 2.8 (Full Feature Release) is still in development - we have not yet finished all planned features. (And it also has the bug that we still have in Release 2.7.3)
Release 2.7.3 (Improvement Release) is more or less finished but it still contains 1 bug (considering special characters in Text and Translation System) we need to fix.

Once we fixed the bug, we have 2 alternatives:
(It depends on how long we still need for the fix.)

    A) Publish Release 2.7.3 --> Contains only improvements and fixes but is savegame compatible.
(If we fix the bug the next 2 weeks this makes sense, since 2.8 still has open todos considering new features.)

    B) Publish Release 2.8 --> Contains everything we implemented and tested until now but is not savegame compatible.
(If we need longer than 2 weeks for the fix, then this seems to be the better choice.)

As I said, currently everything considering a Release depends on the bugfix. :dunno:
For the last weeks team members have been sick though. :c5unhappy:

We can only ask for your patience and understanding.

In fact, 2.72.beta had a similar bug.
I am Japanese, but I could not start the game if my PC was set to Japanese.
I enjoy playing games by setting my computer to English.

If we can play in the English environment, i want you to release 2.7.3.

The bug is related to City Names, General Names and Ship Names of the Nations (e.g. France or Portugal).
They are always spelled the same for all languages, so the bug affects all languages.

    e.g. "Québec"

I know I had promissed weeks ago that we would release ...
But we should really publish a release as clean and bug free as we can.

As I said, please have a bit more patience, until our team members are healthy and fit again.
Unpredicable things like team members getting sick sometimes happen.

I know precisely what went wrong and it's a relic from before windows started using unicode. This is also the reason why some Japanese games only works if the computer is set to Japanese even if people use an English translation patch.

Do you know how I can get the Japanese version of colonization.exe?
If I have that one, then I will have a good chance of fixing this problem. Also it can be used to add support for more languages, allowing translations to all sorts of languages, including Japanese.

Is "the Japanese version of colonization.exe" the Japanese localization of CIV4COL?
In 2009, a Japanese company localized.

If so, it can be bought at amazon.jp.
I can buy it, and if necessary, buy it and mail it to you (no fee required).

But now, I think all Japanese people buy and play the English version of STEAM.
